Dr. Chris Daldine, a Michigan native, attended Central Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. He continued his education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, earning a doctorate in Optometry. Dr. Daldine completed an internship at the Center for Sight in Sarasota, FL where he received extensive training in managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. While receiving his optometric training in Florida, he met his wife and colleague, New England native, Dr. Patricia Samuel.
After practicing in Florida and Pennsylvania for several years, Dr. Daldine has settled close to his wife’s family in Nashua, NH. Joining Illumineyes Vision Care in 2016, Dr. Daldine brings to the office new technology and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye care, dry eye syndrome, and keratoconus/scleral lens fitting. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.
With plenty of opportunities for his favorite hobbies in New England, Dr. Daldine is excited to make New Hampshire his new home. He takes to the outdoors in all weather fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. He also enjoys woodworking, gardening, doing home projects, and smoking on his pellet grill. And a true Michigan fan, we can't forget- Go Maze and Blue!
Dr. Ron Douville is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is one of the pioneer optometrists in southern New Hampshire. He has been providing comprehensive vision care services to Merrimack and surrounding communities for 41 years. Dr. Douville is well known by his patients and colleagues for his friendly and personable demeanor and experienced care.
In 2018, as he gets ready for semi-retirement, Dr. Douville has combined his life-long practice in Merrimack with our office in Nashua. His patients can look forward to continued care at this new location. He plans on seeing patients one day per week, allowing him plenty of time to enjoy some some well deserved downtime.
Dr. Douville has recently moved to his home in Maine where he and his wife Ellie will be enjoying coastal life. Together they enjoy boating, kayaking, and reading (one of his latest books was about quantum physics!) Dr. Douville is also a skilled tour guide- Drs. Chris and Patty got a chance to see this unique skill in action as they were hosted by Dr. Douville around his new hometown
Dr. Patricia Samuel is originally from Brazil but grew up in Lowell, Mass. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the UMASS Amherst with a focus in Neuroscience Psychology. Alongside with her husband Dr. Daldine, Dr. Samuel also received her doctorate in Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. She completed an internship in Juneau, Alaska with a heavy emphasis on diabetic retinopathy care.
Since she herself has worn glasses from a young age, Dr. Samuel developed a special interest in pediatric optometry and is excited to expand on her experience in Nashua providing exams to infants as young as 6 months old. She is able to diagnose and treat children with binocular vision disorders including amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (eye turn). She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.
Dr. Samuel is thrilled to be back to New England where she can enjoy hiking, canoeing, and spending time with her family. She loves trying new restaurants (unless Dr. Daldine is BBQ’ing), so be sure to let her know what your favorites are around Nashua.
IlluminEyes Vision Care provides optometric eye services for residents of Nashua, Hollis, Hudson NH, and Pepperell MA.
